Why does my V-Rod sound like a Honda moped? That is the number one comment we get from potential customers. Yes, I experienced the same let down after starting up my new V-Rod for the first time. Well when you are as big as Harley you have people like the EPA staring down their nose at you therefore creating a very strict criteria for the exhaust systems that go onto their bikes. So basically Harley Davidson is not allowed to produce a motorcycle exhaust system that allows a Harley to sound like a Harley should hence why we are in business.
How long does it take to receive my pipes? The day that you pay for your pipes will be day that we endeavor to ship them out. Sometimes if we are really busy and backed up it may be a day or two and unless of course it's past the processing cut off time for that day or over the weekend and then we will ship on monday. We ship UPS Ground for USA orders and USPS Express Mail International for overseas orders and normally it takes anywhere from one day to one week depending on where you're located to receive your order. Please do not call to request a tracking number as it will be e-mailed through the UPS Quantum automated system once your order processes.
How much is domestic shipping? USA shipping is a flat $22 for pipes and $15 for fuel managers and filter and is shipped via UPS Ground. If you would like overnight or expedited shipping, please call us for pricing.
How much is international shipping? International shipping is a flat $70 USD for pipes and $85 USD for more than one item. Items are shipped USPS Express Mail International mail and normally will arrive in 5-7 business days.
Do I need to make fuel adjustments after installing my new pipes? It is highly recommended to install a fuel manager. Any air filter or exhaust changes that are made to a computerized fuel injected motorcycle, an air fuel mixture change is required by installing a fuel manager. Do I need to take my bike into the dealership to get my pipes and fuel manager installed? You can if you want however most of our customers choose to do install themselves at home with basic garage tools. We have had numerous female riders write in and tell us how they installed the pipes, fuel tuner, and air filter with no help. The installation process is relatively simple and the directions are very detailed and also include include step by step photos. We designed the TAB pipes, fuel manager, and air filter to be a plug-and-play set up so that most any weekend warrior can install the entire exhaust package on a saturday morning and be riding by lunch time.
Where can I get a fuel manager? We sell our own TAB Performance fuel manager specifically made for our pipes containing custom made computer maps for our pipes and air filter. This is a plug and play unit that can easily be installed in less than 2 hours, and that includes fuel tuner and pipe installation. With is unit you can also switch back and forth from stock pipes to TAB pipes or you can switch out with several different sets of pipes and tuning can be done by changing the map setting on the tuner.
